Kestrel unique Anemometer was developed for lightweight flight 1995. Now 10 years later there are a number of specialized models for different applications.

Every Kestrel Meter has a large 25mm "impeller" mounted on a sapphire (jewel). Which means that it begins to rotate with minimum Gusts - 0.3 mph to be exact! And this unique impeller is also replaceable by the user, which means that it can be easily replaced if it is damaged or worn.
