An IP camera is a Webcam that is wirelessly connected with its own IP number to a router, and thus is accessible via the Internet.
No computer needs to be running for IP camera to be accessible.
Is there weather that works in a similar way?
ANSWERS: Weather Stations with built-ethernetgränsnitt there are very few of. In principle, only Davis who arrived with a product called WeatherLinkIP that can be used in this way. But they are so limited in functionality that we have chosen to further develop WeatherWeb also for Davis.
Therefore, we have developed programs to a product called Tibbo2. This is an ethernet-seriellkonverter suited to most stations with serial interface. For this unit we have written their own software (called WeatherWeb) that can communicate with Oregon WMR928, Davis weather stations and RAIN WISE weather stations. Software installed in Tibbo2 unit, which is very compact.
The device may then 4 main functions.
However, it is not wireless. This requires either that you have a router that can be configured as a client or a tex NMT abbonemang with a D-35 router that we sell. Then it becomes really wireless. Sincerely Rickard
